Well the time has come to pack up our bags, can it have been a month already since we arrived in Cetona. It's been such as great time with lots of places to visit and interesting things happening around us. Saturday 4th May we take the train to Sorrento south of Naples but we will always remember the time we spent here.
It has been nice to slow down and take things easy, unpack our suit case and see some of the best country side that Tuscany has to offer. Thanks goes to Linda who had been fantastic in helping us get around and checking out local events for us. We will take with us many memories of this town and of the beautiful people that live here. The place has first class restaurants and cafes but the cost is reasonable, in fact a cappuccio in Cetona costs E1.50 but we paid E4.50 in Florence. This was a lesson for us to read the menu and check prices before ordering. Both cafe are well decked out with waiters wearing white shirts and black trousers with aprons around their waists but the one in Cetona is not only cheaper by a mile the staff are more friendly. I would recommend this town to anyone coming to Tuscany.
The pictures below we're mostly taken from our apartment which is going to be hard to beat.
This place has also give us a chance to do some thinking and letting go of the stress from the previous 6mths before we left Oz. the pace is slow and the produces you buy from the shops are locally grown and harvested including vegetables, cheese, wine and bread. I mean what else do you need in your diet.
Farewell Cetona we will miss you.
