Como Italy

Well we arrived in Como with a miner hiccup on the way. Our train from Ventimiglia was late and so we missed the connection at Milan. We spoke to the information person and she pointed us to the customer care room. We lined up with a lot of other people and finally spoke put our case forward. We knew there were trains running to Como every hour so we wanted her to reassign our tickets to another train. They are normally booked seats but we ended up catching a regular train to Como and all turned out well. We stayed in the Best Western hotel in Como for one night. We had a bit more cash on us as the boiler in the Antibes apartment broke down on the last 2 days of our stay. The owner refunded us the cleaning charge so we decided to have a nice meal that first night in Italy. It was a lovely meal consisting of 5 courses which were all small but very nice. It also included a glass of wine, sparking water and coffee. The next day we walk around the town taking photos like true tourists. We then had to get to the ferry to travel to Menaggio.
The area is surrounded by mountains some covered in snow at the top so we have been wearing layers of clothing to keep warm.
